  3. Press start — friends watch you liveThey see where you are, your pace and ETA, and can send a cheer.

What XVVX does

Group runs

Create a run with a time, meeting point and headcount limit, or join one nearby. Prefer not to run with strangers? Open it to friends only.

Live watching + cheers

While you record, chosen friends see you on the map with your pace and ETA and can send a cheer — you feel it as a vibration and hear it as a voice cue.

Four visibility levels

Pick per run: close friends (default), friends, public, or ghost. Strangers only ever see an approximate area and a headcount, never who you are.

Flash missions · shop rewards

Partner shops release limited rewards for a limited time. Run to within 30 m to claim, then show it to staff to redeem. You ran this far — have the coffee.

Running events

Register for official or sponsored runs. Event pages carry the route, schedule and sponsor information.

Accurate GPS

Our own distance correction filters urban multipath noise, cold-start drift and teleport jumps, and the pedometer validates that a run is real. Fake GPS cannot claim rewards.

Privacy is the default, not a setting

Automatic home-zone grid

Locations within a zone around your home (500 m by default, adjustable) are snapped to a grid, so nobody sees which street you leave from or return to.

Full routes are yours alone

Others only see the simplified route you choose to share, and share images automatically trim the segments near start and finish.

No recording, no location

Location is collected only while you record a run. Usage analytics are event counts and never contain coordinates. No advertising identifiers.

Encrypted in transit and at rest

Data is stored encrypted (Supabase, Singapore region). Delete your account any time in the app or at xvvx.app/delete-account.

See the Privacy Policy for details.

Frequently asked questions

What is XVVX?

XVVX is a free social running app for Hong Kong. You can start or join group runs, let friends watch you run live and cheer you on, and earn rewards at partner shops by completing flash missions. It is operated by Techcon Solution Limited.

How does XVVX protect my location privacy?

Live location defaults to close friends only; each run you can switch to friends, public or ghost. A configurable zone around your home (500 m by default) is snapped to a grid so others only see an approximate area. Your full route is visible only to you, and no location is collected when you are not recording a run.

Where can I download XVVX?

XVVX is currently in iOS TestFlight beta. Request an invite at [email protected]. An Android version is coming later. App Store and Google Play availability will be announced on this site.

What are flash missions?

Flash missions are limited-time, limited-quantity rewards from partner shops such as cafés. Run to within 30 metres of the shop to claim one, then show it in the app for staff to redeem. Once the quota is gone or the time window closes, the mission ends.

Does XVVX cost anything?

No. XVVX is free to use and does not track you with advertising identifiers. Any paid features in the future will be announced separately.

How can a shop or brand partner with XVVX?

Shops can become sponsored stops, offer flash-mission rewards, or sponsor running events (your logo and banner appear on the event page in the app). Email [email protected].
